A Prayer for Cleansing

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.


Psalm 51:10-12, 17 NIV


Creator God,

I come to you broken. You are the Potter who created me and I pray for restoration. I come in the name of Jesus and pray to be cleansed. Clean my heart and renew my spirit so that I may worship You in Spirit and truth. Guide me Great Jehovah and feed me till I want no more.


In the matchless name of Your only begotten Son, I pray.

Amen and Amen.
